WHAT IT IS

The Oklahoma City Housing Authority and City of Oklahoma City received a $25,115,577 HUD Choice Neighborhoods Implementation grant for an eight-year, multi-phase revitalization of Will Rogers Courts and the Westwood Exchange neighborhood. The plan includes replacing the 348 existing Will Rogers Courts units with mixed-income housing and investing in neighborhood facilities and services. The first new units are expected to be available beginning in 2029.

WHY IT MATTERS

The project combines housing replacement with neighborhood improvements and resident services in an area between the Oklahoma River, SW 22nd Street, the Stockyards and South Douglas Avenue. The City reports more than $227 million in financial and in-kind commitments from all sources.
